I'm from New Zealand, and I pronounce both of them with the same emphasis as you do.
I would probably differ on the -ahn ending of Leon though- I say ~ohn. But I have noticed that quite a few of the pronounciations listed on BtN are wrong- or I try to say them and I feel like I'm putting on a really phony American accent.
