I know a 9-uh
in reply to a message by Nina
I know a woman named Nina (Pacific Northwest Native American) who spells and pronounces it the same way you do, with a long "i" sound. I've never heard anyone mispronounce her name so it can be done. Courage!I would correct everyone including your significant other. That's way too personal of a thing to let boil under the surface, at least if I were in your shoes. It's who you are. If you don't take care of it in the beginning it will only fester and come out some other way.
