This is the first time I've heard Opal called popular. It isn't even near the top 100!I like Ottilie, but I can't see it becoming super popular.Odette is more likely to take off than Odilia.Edited typo

A popular British youtuber named her daughter Ottilie, calls her Ottie, and I can see a handful of new moms copying her with it. It's been on my own list for a long time, it's super cute and I was so surprised when the youtuber announced it as her daughter's name! Pleasantly surprised!

You're right, Opal isn't at the top of the charts. It has risen 357 spots in 6 years so you could say it's rising. Opal has been mentioned in 162 posts in the past 12 months, that's 3 times a week. Perhaps Olivbliv was looking for names that are not so familiar to this board.
