Being from South Africa I don't know if I should be proud or irritated that this name has gained in popularity especially in Australia. Charlize is a rather unique Afrikaans (French inspired) name & I would hate for it to become trendy just because of the influence of the actress. But if I omit my bias I simply like the sound of the name.
