Piper is used too much for girls for me to see it as a masculine name, similar to names like Leslie, Lindsay and even Ashley.
I think Piper is really sweet and spunky and I like it a lot for a girl. I think the similar sounding name of Harper would be better for a boy.
Noam is too similar to gnome and is just plain unattractive to my ears.
