Very interesting! I see there was a little bump in the SSA records for Daren in 1922. I'll update some of the information here based on this.

How did I miss that Daren also showed up in 1922 and 1923? Thanks for catching that -- it certainly gives even more evidence that it comes from Zane Grey's novel. :)
