A special Google search that is restricted to the single name pages of the BtN site might be useful here. E.g. enter the following into the Google search box:
"English (rare)" site:behindthename.com/name
I did not find a way to let Google find only pages that exactly contain the string "(rare)". If you search for
"(rare)" site:behindthename.com/name
you also get pages that speak about rare names in the name descriptions, i.e. containing "rare" without ().
