Åsmund Grankjellson (approx. 1000 - 1050) was a Norwegian Governor in Hålogaland in the Northern parts of Norway. His father, Grankjell, fought about the ownership of some Coastal islands with Hårek of Tjøtta. Grankjell ended up having to eradicate his farm. Åsmund got his revenge when he killed Hårek with King Magnus the Good's axe in 1036. He then became the Governor of the entire Hålogaland, but he still had disputes with Hårek's sons.
