Abena Dugan is Ghanaian youth and gender advocate. In 2018, she was elected vice chair in charge of Partnership and Resources of the Commonwealth Youth Council, making her the first female and Ghanaian to hold the position. The Commonwealth Youth council is the largest and most diverse youth-led organisation in the world, as such Dugan is now representing young people in 53 Commonwealth countries.
Abena Frempongmaa Daagye Oduro (born 10 February 1959) is the Vice Dean of the Faculty of Social Science at the University of Ghana where she also holds the position of Associate Professor of the Department of Economics. Having had 30 years of experience teaching, her areas of specialization are centred around gender and asset management, international economics, poverty analysis, macroeconomic theory and trade policy.
Abena Busia is a poet and academic. She is also the sister of Akosua Busia, Ghanian actress based in the US. They are both the daughters of the ex-prime minister of The Republic of Ghana.
