Adeline Turnkey (née d’Ark) is the mother of titular protagonist Jane Turnkey in the 2005 Nelvana / Weta Workshop television series ‘Jane and the Dragon’. She is the queen’s lady-in-waiting and harbours disapproval of her daughter’s decision to become a knight rather than follow in her footsteps, though this largely stems from Adeline’s own grief and fear for Jane’s safety, since her own father, a knight, died defending the castle when she was young.
