Charming and passionate. My art teacher once told me that larger gems are sought after, but aren't worth much. The smaller gems are much more precious. Keeping this metaphor in mind, Aglaia is a pretty little gem with a lot of value, even more so compared to a larger gem like, say, Amelia. It's beautiful.

Pretty name with a pretty meaning. I'm surprised it isn't more common; only 6 babies were given this name in 2006. I also love the fact that it comes from Greek mythology.

I'm not a fan of Aglaia, to be honest. It sounds like a snobby prep saying 'Ugly' to me. However, it's rather cute when a small child says it.
