Even though this name has a feminine form, I still think it sounds more soft than strong!

Not very widespread. It's a common adjective ("loved"), which makes it different from most names which aren't used in any sentence. It's kinda lovely, though.

I had no idea there was a masculine form of "Amy". And I'm kind of surprised that it's not terribly popular.
