Ajax is a really cool name. It instantly reminds me of two things: a painting by John Steuart Curry and a character from Genshin Impact. In addition, Ajax was one of the first names I started liking as a kid! I think that people should not forget about it. Ajax would be a nice name for a person or a pet.
This name sounds both cool AND classic to me. I would like to name a son Ajax or Jax.
Why did people have to use such a handsome, classic boy's name for a bathroom cleaner? Couldn't they have chosen anything else? "Best-cleaner" or "Sprint Clean" could have been better! Anyways, anyone with the name Ajax, be pround of your name and IGNORE all the teasing cause you don't deserve it!
Come on! This could have been a REALLY handsome name if not for the stupid bathroom cleaner!
The bathroom cleaner? *Eye roll*
It’s nice but unfortunately a chemical was named after it.
People who think first of a bathroom cleaner are hugely ignorant, I fear. But not surprising. Ask them the origin of the name. I bet they have no idea. It's a great, great name. Strong masculine and classical.
A very cool, simple and short name. I like Ajax Paul, lately.
I've never actually heard of the brand, but I've been put off now because of the comments about it. Other than that, I think this is a cool, badass name.
So many people here parading and attempting to justify their own ignorance. If you think of the brand before the myth, you're the problem.
This name reminds me of the Ajax Spray product, which my mother uses to clean the kitchen.
When I hear the name I think of the Mythos not the cleaner and with nicknames A.J. and Jack/Jax I think it's a rounded name. But I get how the cleaner association ruins it for some. I might have agreed if I used the brand or if the product was advertised as heavily as Mr. Clean.
This name sounds weird. Cause Ajax is a town in Ontario, Canada. Parents are silly if they name there child this if the baby was born in Ajax.
If this hadn't been used as the name for a product, I would have used it. It's short, masculine & distinctive, I think it'd be pretty cool to be named after a warrior in mythology. Pity about the spray & wipe - just kills it!
Using any brand names as names for people is extremely tacky. Even if this wasn't one of those, it rather comes across as one of those silly pseudonyms some ridiculous middle-aged guy anxious in his masculinity would use.
I love this name and would totally consider using this name.
Personally, I would never name a child Ajax, but the actual Greek version of the name, Aias (Eye-yas), isn't so bad.
This name is rather harsh and crude, though it fits the described character well. It might work well as a character name in a book, or something of the like. However, I still wonder why anyone would name a cleaning product after a person in Greek mythology.
It's alright for a character, but naming a child after a cleaning product would be as stupid as naming your dog Comet (like what Danny Tanner named the golden retriever on Full House).
This is a stupid name for a child. Hello, it's the cleaning stuff I use to clean my bathtub.
This would be an awful name for a child. 'Ajax Spray and Wipe' the cleaning label.
