Alina Zagitova, born 18.05.2002, is an Olympic champion in ladies' single figure skating and the youngest skater ever to win a Grand Slam - every important gold medal in the sport (Olympics, Worlds, Europeans, Nationals, Grand Prix Final, Junior Worlds, Junior Nationals, Junior Grand Prix Final), she managed to do it by the age of 16. Originally Tatar, she was named after a famous Russian rhythmic gymnast Alina Kabaeva. Despite being the best skater in the world at the moment, she is considered to have a really strong character - Alina left her hometown and her parents at the age of 13 to train with the best coach in Moscow, managed to continue skating under big pressure after winning Olympics at the age of 15, to do really difficult elements as well as to skate with great grace and flow.

Alina Fernández Revuelta is the daughter of Fidel Castro and Natalia Revuelta Clews. She has been critical of the government of Cuba, where she lived until 1993. Fernández lived with her mother, Natalia "Naty" Revuelta Clews, who was born in Havana in 1925 and stepfather, Orlando Fernández. In Cuba, she worked as a model and public relations director of a Cuban fashion company, according to the University Program Board. In 1993, at age 37, she left Cuba for Spain using false papers and a wig. Elena Díaz-Verson Amos, a Cuban immigrant, and wife to John Amos helped Fernández leave Cuba. Fernández lived in Columbus, Georgia, with Díaz-Verson for several years.
