Love this name for a Middle Eastern kid.
From the first time I heard this name I was in love with it. It's so unique yet it sounds familiar. If I ever have a son part of his name is probably going to be Amon. Whether it be the first or middle name I don't know yet (I'm only 14)!
I'm usually not one for naming children after a deity regardless of origin. However, this name really speaks to me. I would consider naming my child Amon.
I like this name, because it sounds very powerful, yet gently. Its meaning/history emphasizes this (a God of the wind and the air). I would consider naming my son Amon - if I ever get one.
