André Dae Kim is a Canadian actor. He is known for his role as Winston Chu in the Canadian television series Degrassi: The Next Generation and Degrassi: Next Class, and as Dylan Edwards in the CBS series Salvation.
André is such an exquisite and fragile name, it has a taint of a French-type of novel archetype whilst still having such a dark aura when pronounced, it sounds classy and so extravagant yet simple and mild, vis-a-vis the usage of the name, I would still not consider to name my child this way since my friend is named this and has already ruined the name for me, but I truly invite others to create a relationship with this name by naming their heritage with it.
Andre, what a great name. It must include the accent over the E... that puts the image of one on paper. Sophisticated, yet also casual, it has always been a classic and there is no such thing as an "old" name when your name is timeless. I typically think of men of French decent when I hear it.
Andre is the name of that hottie you always fancied, I imagine an Andre to be tall dark with green eyes, a beautiful smile. I imagine a handsome man called Andre would always smell of Tom Ford perfume, wear Reiss clothing and probably come from somewhere like Spain or Portugal, it also sounds like someone who would be really attractive and a total cutie.
My best friend's name is Andre, and she's a girl, so I will always think of this name as feminine/masculine. According to my friend, her parents didn't know what she was going to be so they picked Andre and if she turned out a boy they'd tell him it was short for Andre and she were a girl they'd tell her it was short for Andrea. As it is people constantly call her Andrea and and when they see her name on paper they think she's a boy.
It really doesn't sound right for a child, a baby. Too old.
This name sounds so handsome and romantic, without going overboard. If you name your son Andre, you could always call him Andy to Americanize it. I like the name Andrew, but it is overused, so Andre is a fresh, old fashioned twist.
I once knew an Andre, and his father was Greek, so I thought this name was Greek for awile. I think this is a nice name, but I can't hear it without thinking of that kid.
I like this name. It seems like it should be the name of some hero in a Victorian noval, I'm not sure why. I think that's just me, though. It's very handsome. I would consider naming my son this.
I cannot stand this name it just creeps me out, it's so slimey sounding!
My borther's name is André David. I love his name and since we speak French at home it is good and can easily be translated and pronounced in English.
