In my opinion, Andromeda is an absolutely gorgeous name. I love its length, uniqueness, association with the stars, and its potential nickname, Andy. Not many names more beautiful than Andromeda.

I love this name! I like how it can have a lot of cute nicknames without sounding stupid, and how it makes me think of the Andromeda Galaxy! It's a very pretty name and is surprisingly easy to pronounce.

One of my favourite girl names of all time. If I had a baby girl right now, she would be called Andromeda. Can be shortened to Andy, Annie, Meda or Drommy (though I'm not personally a fan of this nickname). I say go for it to everyone considering it, people have used Phoebe for years, that's from Greek Mythology and no one bats an eye.

Andromeda is so gorgeous and elegant, I love astronomy so this reminds me of the Andromeda galaxy! I'd probably use this as a middle name though, it's definitely one of my favourite names ever.

The meaning is really weird, but all in all it's a very beautiful sounding name! I immediately think of the Andromeda Galaxy, which makes for some really cool imagery. Could definitely be a conversation starter.

Andromeda was the name of my goldfish. Very lovely, but somewhat out there. If you name a child Andromeda, she may be teased at school, but not if she is bright and reasonably friendly.

Ada is a cute nickname that makes Andromeda more accessible.
Ada Lovelace was a pioneer of computer science, while Andromeda, of course, is a galaxy & constellation. Perfect names to spark a young girls interest in science. Still, both are fun, classic, and girly; the constellation is named for a mythical princess!

This sounds like such a ridiculous name. It's super long for one thing, and none of the sounds in it are at all flattering or pretty. Plus it's the name of a galaxy.

My first name is Andromeda, I would like to know how many others there are, I have never met another, but I would love to. I am 3rd generation Greek and very proud of it. I have done research and I'm very very proud of my unique name and origin.

This name is absolutely stunning. Andromeda... I think of a beautiful, strong, and mysterious woman. However, I don't think I could ever name my child this. It's too unheard of... maybe as a middle name. Or maybe even as a first name if I think it over. :)

My big sister's called Andromeda! We always used to call her Andie but then some People found out that my name was Pandora and I go by Pandy for short. "Here comes Andy-Pandy and Looby-Lou, happy as they can be Teddy too..." Not nice ¬_¬ I wasn't too bothered but we always called her Meda after that. We pronounce it 'Andro-meda' like 'drove' but with out the 'v' sound.

This would be a really cool name to use, but I'm afraid it's a bit too strange and ''big'', if you get my drift. It could work as a somewhat unconventional middle name, though, and it can always be shortened to Andie.

Andromeda is my second middle name, I love it. The Greek myth with Perseus and Andromeda is one of my favourite. I go by "Andie" as a nickname rather than my first name as I love my middle name so much.
