I really like this name, but the pronunciation isn't clear at all. I've always pronounced it anna-lee-suh.
Hey.. lol just wanted to come through and say my name is Ana-leese, pronounced (Ah-na-lease)
This is my name! I have always been taught to pronounce it "AH-nuh-LEE-zuh". I am named after a family friend, Anneliese Von Oettingen, who was a ballet dancer. :-) My nickname as a child was "Liese" (pronounced "Lisa").
The Dutch pronunciation for Anneliese is: ahn-nə-LEE-sə [noted -ed]
I speak German and Anneliese and Annaliese are not pronounced the same!Anneliese/Annelise = UHN-nay-lee-zeh
Annaliese/Annalise = UHN-nuh-lee-zeh
Annalisa = UHN-nah-lee-zuh
I pronounce this Anna-leese.
Listen to the German pronunciation of Anneliese here:

There are 3 appropriate & acceptable pronunciations. Ann-uh-LEEZE-uh, Ann-uh-LEESE-uh and Ann-uh-LEESE. German in origin, from Anne and Lisa or Anne and Elisabeth.
I've always pronounced it "Ana-LEES," or "AnEL-LEESa."
This is also pronounced Ah-nah-LEE-zah. That is how Anneliese van der Pol (Chelsea from That's So Raven on the Disney Channel) is pronounced.
Pronounced un-neh-LEE-zeh.
