It's my name, a nickname for Anastasiya, I like it
I'm Ukrainian though, not Russian.
I don't care for this name. It's too unusual. The only A names I like are Annaliese and Ashley.
Pretty!
My name is Anna and I've always dreamed of changing my name to Anya. It's much less common where I live and I just like the look and sound of it so much more than Anna.
In positive opinion, I think it's so cute, very pretty and nice.
Completely, hopelessly in love with this name. So pretty and full of strength.
Very pretty.
I picture a spoiled little blonde girl. Yucky, prissy name.
Sounds very pretty.
Adorable!
This is my favorite name for a girl, and if I ever have a daughter, I'll be naming her Anya Carrie (Carrie after my mom). It's simple, beautiful, and easy to spell.
I have a friend with this name. I’ve always loved the sweet simplicity of it. Beautiful!
Anya sounds like a nickname for someone named Anastasia.
I find this name much prettier than "Anna", plus it has more character. Most Russian names are lovely in general. Anya is one of my favorites.
To be quite honest, Anya sounds less like the name of someone who's strong and independent to me and more like someone who's sweet and innocent. This may be because of the term "An'ya" in Long Dau, which means "Hey!" and sounds cute especially when the "N" is emphasized; which is something I do by default when hearing this name.
This is my name and I get called horrible nicknames like onya, yanya and nunya. This is very annoying but I love my name all the same.
My sister is called Anya and people nickname her "annie" I prefer Anya much better though but people don't seem to like it much.
An absolutely lovely name!
Very sweet name. Wonderful alternative to the pretty but played out Anna.
I LOVE the name Anya! If I ever have a daughter I want to name her this, it's such a pretty name! :]
I like the name Anya, it is sweet and delicate.
Anya is a name I'm very fond of.
Short, Sweet, and let's not forget gorgeous and beautiful. I love this name.
I'm an aspiring writer and my main character nickname is Anya. It suits a strong and intelligent person and I really like it.
I would love to give this name to my daughter, I'm from Czech Republic and here is name the Anna from which is the name Anya derived really common.
Anya is my name, and I have always loved it! It is soft, easy to say, and not too long. Although, some people do have trouble pronouncing it; I get called 'AW-nya' a lot.
My name's Anna and I go by Anya about half the time. I think it's very sweet and would be lovely as a given name. I love that it works in many different languages.
Anya is a pretty name. I know it is a form of Anna. I also feel that it could still be used to honor Tanya or Tonya. I think that would be a cute way to honor those other names as well.
My name is Anna and I like Anya much better. It has a softer sound to it, but at the same time it belongs to a stronger person.
His name is Anoup. My name is Priya. If I have a baby girl I will name her ANYA. His first two words and my last two. Saw the meaning "Gracious" in Russian. The very mentioning of the name makes my lips curve to a heartfelt smile.
