Aoide

Aoide... notes of every color faded and sustained within a cosmic ensemble. As a musical expression, it inspires us to find what connects us through art and music even though we may understand completely different things to be true. A throb of creativity, a splash of pleasant classical music. I suspect that although our blood flows to the rhythm of this cosmic tune, we have chosen to separate ourselves from each other and fight over everything. Aoide, I imagine, is a being who seeks to restore the balance which once sustained everything we know about connection and kinship and friendships today. A drop of love... exquisite.

If I saw this name I would pronounce it "EE-da", after Aoife. The spelling Aoede might be less ambiguous.

I love how unique it is for a mythology name and the meaning of song is so pretty. It also reminds me of Aoife, which is a great name as well, even though the cultures of both names are completely different.

So unique and imaginative.

I really like this name, although it's hard to find the pronunciation for it, it's very beautiful.
