In the Korean animated series Flowering Heart, the main character is named Ari Jin/Jin Ari (진아리), otherwise spelled as A-ri. The Korean name, either as Ari or A-ri, isn't here though.

I love this name because it can work nicely for both girls and boys. It also reminds me of one of my favorite villains, Ari, from Maximum Ride. Why would I like this name if it were related to a villain? Well, (SPOILERS) He was abused as a child, so he got easily manipulated to become evil. Then at the end of the series he shows his true colors. The name gives me the impression of a strong, silent individual. That is why I feel it is such a great name.

Hearing, "I'm Ari Shapiro" every morning on NPR kind of makes the name grow on you.
