I loved learning about the emperor Ashoka in my high school world history class.
The name has been used by George Lucas for Star Wars: The Clone Wars. She is Anakin's Padawan learner Ashoka Tano, who is determinded to prove herself capable of being his padawan learner.
Anakin's Padawan is actually Ahsoka not Ashoka.
Ashoka. The name is the basis for Lucas's new character "Ahsoka" in the new Clone Wars series. I really like the name, very cool!
