Pronounced ah-vee-GAH-yeel in Israel and ah-vee-GAH-yul by Ashkenazis in America. I have no idea why people downvoted the other comment that said this - it's a Hebrew name, popular in Israel, and the Hebrew script written here is clearly read that way. If you say it to rhyme with Abigail that's just not this name.
