I love this name. In David Edding's Belgariad and Mallorean books there are a man called Barak with red hair and is very big. In Leon Uris book Exodus there are a man with red hair and he is called Barak too.

I believe Barack Obama's name is related to the biblical name BARUCH, meaning "blessed" not BARAK.
