Belladonna

This is a really cool name. Definitely an offbeat plant name.

I adopted a cat a few years ago. She was found as a stray. She was pregnant and of course her kittens were first to be adopted. When I went to the shelter her room was the first one I entered and she immediately looked to me (from within her cage), stood on her hind legs, and spoke (meowed) to me. That’s when I knew she was the one. She still needed to be spayed and to recover from it but a few months later I walked out of there with the best friend I’ve ever had. They named her Annabelle but I thought she looked more like a Belladonna. It was similar enough and she immediately adapted to it. The rest of this comment will be my speculation as to where I got the name from, beware minor spoilers for The Nightmare before Christmas

I was really into The Nightmare Before Christmas at the time. Sally attempts to poison her creator with deadly nightshade (Belladonna). Due to it sounding similar to Annabelle, that was likely where I got the name from.

I love this name! I didn't know it existed until recently but it's a beautiful name! :D.

This is such a rare and beautiful name! I wish people were named this more often but seeing people who are named this makes it seem more special!
