So lovely. A classic, honestly.
My Catholic Irish parents named me Brigid in 1958, I loved my name, even though I was teased in grade school, frigid Brigid, etc, I loved the uniqueness. It wasn't until 2001 that I meet another Brigid. I read in the comments that the name was given to 84 babies in 2012, that's great, it is a name to be very proud of.
Very uncommon but very pretty. I like both Brigid and Bridget.
I much prefer Brigid to Bridget. And St Brigid is such a lovely namesake.
I think it's very pretty.
I think this name is great because of St. Brigid. If I don't name my daughter this it will definitely be the name that I give to her for her baptism.
My whole family, starting way back a long time ago, named their first born girl Brigid. It is very comon in Ireland. I only wished I lived there.
