Sounds sweet. Looks and sounds similar to the the term of endearment “cariño” in Spanish, I’m sure they’re derived from the same origin. It’s a good association I think.

My name is Carina! I actually used to really hate it because I thought that the "r" sounded too harsh and the "C" looked too big but I think that I'm okay with it now. I like that it's like the Carina Nebula, all starry and galaxy-ish.

Carina is surely a GP for me. In fact, here in Italy 'Carina' means 'pretty' when referred to a she and nobody would think about the constellation before this daily link. After that the constellation is known as Carena (that in Italian means 'hull').

This is such a beautiful name. It's very simple and pretty. My two best friends are named Carina. So it's nice that Cara means friend or beloved. But in Denmark it's used as another way of spelling the more common Karina.
