I think Clarissa is better. Carissa gives me 1980s hippie vibes. I'm not surprised it peaked in 1992.
Sounds a bit juvenile.
Very goody two shoes sounding. Or like a Care Bear built in the 90s.
This is my mum's name and I think it's awesome. It's not very common in Australia and it's usually shortened down to Riss which it unique and pretty.
Beautiful name, silken.
I'd never heard of this name before until I met my friend Carissa at University! I think it's a nice name. It's uncommon but it's not too unusual.
Out of the few Carissas (and variant spellings) I've met, one is so abusive and hurtful to those around her that every time I meet someone with this name (regardless of spelling) I tend not to like them because of her.*sorry to all of you who bear this name, I am positive you are all very nice people - it's just how I feel at the moment.
This is my new little sister's name and I like it. It's pretty, but honestly, I wouldn't have picked it.
Not a great name for a grown-up.
This is my name, and sometimes when I introduce myself, the other person will say, "That's a pretty name!" Though I've heard prettier. *shrugs*
Very cool and unique name. I like it.
This my sister's name. Her nickname is Crissy. I've always thought it a very pretty name.
I think it's the ugliest name ever!
