Though I have met a lot of guy Christens and no girls, I think it’s better for a girl than a boy.

I've had this name for 26 years now, and it's always struck me as a girl's name, not a boy's name. Personally, I think it is a very nice name, simple and sharp. In my case, it's pronounced Kristen, although I'm sure other pronunciations have been used with the same spelling. I've never heard of a boy named Christen, nor have I ever regarded it as a masculine name in the slightest, though I agree that it certainly should be on the site as unisex (at the very least).

Can't see this as a name. To me it's just a word meaning "to baptize".

This is definitely a girl's name. I might name a girl Christen, but NEVER would I name a boy this. Sorry guys named Christen, but I seriously think your name belongs on a girl.

I love this name because it is the name of my best friend. Most people spell it Kristen but I like Christen.
