Good meaning.
Really used to be puzzled by the fact that Clemency was used as a name... but all of a sudden I can see why. It's like Clementine, but to me, has a sass to it. When I separate the whole "Clemency hearing" thing from it, I really like it.
Yeah, I was just watching TV and some kids had to "retell their awful mermories in front of endless trials and clemency hearings..." No thanks. Not the best name.
I'm not fond of the name, but you still hear the word occasionally - in Britain a convicted person is sometimes said to "appeal for clemency" in sentencing.
Upper-class and lovely.
I'm pretty sure this name is no longer used. No one uses the word "Clemency" anymore. It's a rather snobbish word anyway. Why not name your daughter Clementine if you liked the sound of it?
The word is obsolete, right? It sure sounds like it is. The name is old-fashioned and ugly.
It's a lovely name! Though it's not as popular as Clementine.
