Coleman

Outdated and old-timey name.

My name is Coleman and, for the record, no one has ever called me "Cole". I think it's a dope name. You rarely hear it as a first name.

Sounds more like a surname.

Too 'surnamey' and the male (however old he is) would just end up going by "Cole" anyway. What's wrong with just Cole? Lol!

This is my brother's friend's name, I'm not a big fan. He's from Alabama, so it definitely suits him. It's very redneck and a little too surname-y to be taken seriously.

I do not really like this name. My friend's name is Coleman, but he always goes by Cole.

I always think of camping gear when I hear this name. Coleman lantern in particular.
