Dominic

This name comes from St. Dominic who received the Rosary from the Blessed Virgin Mary to fight heresy. While pregnant with him, his mother had a dream that a dog with a lit torch in its mouth leapt out of her belly. Thus, he was named Dominic from “domini canus” - God’s dog, who would set the world on fire and light it up with the Truth.
