I first thought this was masculine hehe xD.

Very good nickname for Edith, but now I will never use it cause it sounds like a name of a person I know who I don't like.

Sounds like EAT-ee, which is not very attractive.

In my opinion it sounds too masculine to be a girl name. I don't get why it is feminine.

There was a girl in my class in primary school named this, and people used to mispronounce it as 'Eddie'.
She also used to be teased by people calling her 'Edie MacRedie'.
Overall, this name is not a favourite of mine, and I find it a little trashy.

I love the name Edie but I don't like Edith, I think they're just such contrasts to each other. Edie is young and rebellious, while Edith is mature and classic.

I love this as a nickname for Edith, because Edie is so sweet and adorable, and when the person gets older they can switch to the more classy name Edith.
