Well, while to other people the name is reminiscent of "epi pen" or a dog name, or a mispronunciation of the nickname Abby, to me it makes me think of a Scottish ballad titled "Eppie Morrie". In it, Eppie is clearly a strong individual as she resists a forced marriage and returns home safely, free to do as she will with her life (at least in some versions). I think of a brave individual and not of a dog when I hear the name.
To close to EpiPen to me, first thing I thought of.
Silas Marner is one of my favorite books. It is filled with hope, and shows how the love of child can change one's life for the better. Whenever I hear the name Eppie, I think of a little golden-haired child full of hope and joy.
Awful. Sounds extremely immature and quite embarrassing even as a nickname. How could any woman called Eppie be taken seriously? Sounds more like a name for a dog.
As someone who is called Eppie I have to say I like it although it does draw questions when I introduce myself. Some people do think you are trying to say Abby, and it is often misspelt but on the whole I think it is sweet name.
I don't like this name at all, it sounds like someone who can't pronounce 'Abby'.
