I use "Eugie" (pronounced YOO gee) and I think it's cute. Many people assume it's short for Eugenia or Eugenie, but it's actually my Korean name. However, it's easy enough for English speakers to pronounce so I just spell it that way.
My name is Eugenie and I have always hated it. I have been going by Janie but don't care for that either. I was just wondering if anyone knew of any better nick names for Eugenie or Eugenia? What about Enna?
Interesting name. Not one you will hear used in the United States.
I don't like Eugenia so much, it just sounds kind of plain, but I love Eugenie. I like Genie as a nickname.
The French pronunciation is incredible! I love it! I'm very glad to see this name is still in use in France :)
This name is so cute, but it reminds me of eugenics, (and comes from the same root) and that kind of ruins it for me.
The French pronunciation is gorgeous, but the English pronunciation is dorky and awkward.
This name is incredibly beautiful, though I prefer Eugenia. The French empress Eugénie was gorgeous, and so is the British princess. I hope that French people use lovely names like this more and forget about foreign names.
I think this is a simply truly splendidly lovely name. :)
A very sweet name with a great meaning, and not overused.
A cool, spunky name that I didn't like at first, but it grew on me. In English, though, it's spelled without the accent mark and pronounced YOO-geen-ie.
