This name has also been in use in The Netherlands since at least 1913, but really rose in use in the late 1960s. It was at its most popular ever in 1970, in which year 18 newborn boys were named Fedor. So, it has always been a rare name, but one that has consistently been in use over time. In 2010, there was a total of 320 bearers (of all ages) in all of The Netherlands.
A known Dutch bearer of the name was Fedor den Hertog (1946-2011), a road cyclist who won a gold medal at the team time trial competition (in road cycling) during the 1968 Summer Olympics in Mexico City.
