One of my nieces' names, and definitely my favorite of the ones chosen by my sister-in-law/her ex/my brother. (Also the only one that doesn't end in "er") It's supposed to be short for Frederica so that she's named after the latter, but sadly, they just wrote "Ricky" on her birth certificate--the masculine spelling, even! Ugh. Honestly. I can't understand how we're related. ;b Well, I'm gonna keep spelling it Ricki, and call her Frederica when it's full-name time.
I think it's very pretty, and it has a lot of nickname opportunities.
This is a very biased thing to say, but I do not like it. My name is Federica, but so many people pronounce it wrong and say "Frederica" instead.
I like Frederica. It's not a name I'd give my daughter if I had her, but I don't consider it ugly or too old-fashioned. You can get very cute nicknames, like Erica, which is a name that I love and, well, there is nothing wrong with this name. Frederica... Why not?
Freddie, Fritzi, Fifi, Ricki, Riri, Red and Rica are potential nicknames.
This reminds me of a silly girl with a lot of freckles and her front tooth missing! I think it's unique and Erica is a great nickname! Wacky and happy! :)
Frederica is a grand old name. A fantastic nickname is Frida.
Frederica is a funtastic name.
