Comments (Famous Bearer Only)

I like this name, also because my favourite character from BBC Ghosts is named Sir Humphrey Bone :)
The main character in the book The Sea Wolf is named Humphrey Van Weyden.
The World According To Humphrey.
Humphrey was the name of one main characters in the movie, Alpha and Omega.
Humphrey of Lancaster, 1st Duke of Gloucester, 1st Earl of Pembroke, KG (3 October 1390 – 23 February 1447), also known as Humphrey Plantagenet, was "son, brother and uncle of kings", being the fourth and youngest son of king Henry IV of England by his first wife, Mary de Bohun, brother to king Henry V of England, and uncle to the latter's son, king Henry VI of England.Humphrey, 2nd Earl of Buckingham (1381–1399) was an English peer and member of the House of Lords. He was Lord High Constable of England. His father, Thomas of Woodstock, was the youngest son of King Edward III and uncle of Richard II. His illegitimate daughter Catherine became a mistress of the mighty Stafford's fathers and sons.
Sir Humphrey Gilbert, a British explorer famous for finding Baffin Island and Labrador, as well as helping the British conquer Ireland.
A famous bearer is Humphrey Bogart.
I associate this name with Humphrey the Whale; in the late middle 1980s, the famed humpback whale entered San Francisco Bay and made the mistake of going up the Sacramento River. He would have died if rescuers had not coaxed him back out to San Francisco Bay and, consequently, back out to sea. Seeing the two humpback whales who are lost in the Sacramento River is startlingly similar to Humphrey's predicament.
