Indy 1

For some reason... I actually like this name for both a boy, and a girl... Such a sweet gender-neutral nickname.

I prefer the Indie spelling.

This is better as a nickname than it is as a first name. This name will definitely not age well. Yuck.

One of my friends name is Indi with an I, but Indy is a nice boys name. For a girl it might be cuter spelt Indie.

Indy makes me think of indie stuff, and it looks too short to be a full name.

Indy is my daughter's middle name. It wouldn't have been that, but I had her when we were on our way to see the last Indiana Jones movie, so we named her after it. I still like it though, and even more because it has a story behind it for us, and ups our nerd status. :)

Good nickname for Indra or something, but kind of weird as an official first or middle name.

While the name makes me think of indie rock, indie electronic, and indie movies, all of which are positive things per se, I feel that this name is too nickname-y, and a bit youthful on grown-ups.

I love this name! I got a new gerbil 2 days ago and she's called Indy. Her little sister is called Summer, so together they form 'Indian Summer'.
