If this name is pronounced as 'jes-AY', then it sounds a tad bit girly. It's still a really nice name for men, though. I had no idea that the popular name Jesse had a non-English variant until now. It's rather elegant. I prefer the 'ay' sound over the 'ee' sound, anyway.
