It didn’t occur to me that this was supposed to be pronounced like Joyce until I saw the description. I automatically thought it was pronounced Joy-see. This is a ridiculous spelling of an otherwise decent name.

I like the name Joyce, but this spelling looks silly, pretentious, and even pseudo-French.
