Kinia is a nickname for Kinga.
Looks made up.
A feminine name that has “king” in it, hmmm. It’s hard to make this name masculine only because it’s meant to be feminine. It’s still a girl’s name.
I went to school in Australia with a Kinga, pronounced as it looks. I loved the name, still do. It always stood out as so wonderfully unusual.
I just ADORE this name, but I am Polish-American. All the Kingas I've met have been awesome girls, so the connotation to me is very positive. My son is Henry. Both Henry and Kinga are royal names, so I think they go well together. However, worried about how Americans might think its "masculine" because of the King in it. What do you all think?
Wow. Kinga. Sounds like the parents thought that Queen was too girly and wanted something else that sounded like a title. Even though it's a legitimate name in Eastern Europe, it sounds ridiculous in America.
Well that was rude. There are other countries out there besides America you know, and this name isn't even used there. It's a polish name, and its pronounced keen-ga, not Kin-ga. It's quite pretty actually.
