Laken

I think this name sounds really tacky, and I fear that Americans using it now are probably naming their daughters after Laken Riley. I agree with the comment below me - her death is being used to spread a right-wing, anti-immigration agenda.

I think the Laken Riley association is just too much. It’s not through any fault of her own, but she’s become a martyr for certain political groups, almost like a modern-day Mary Phagan. Anyone with this name in the future will inevitably draw those comparisons, and I don’t believe it would be fair to burden a kid with that.
