I really like the name Leonor! Who cares if something is missing, or parents don't know how to spell? It's a variant of the name Eleanor.
I think it's beautiful. ❤️ It looks much better when it's not weighed down by the E on the end.
Leonor is masculine in French.
I know this is the Portuguese form, but I don't like it. I prefer Leonora.
When my cousin Leonor was born in 1996 her name was delightfully unusual and rarely used outside of old noble families - but nowadays it seems every other Portuguese baby girl is named Leonor (or Maria / Beatriz / Inês). This popularity has ruined this name a bit for me (even though it sounds beautiful and is strong and full of good associations).
Mothers this is a plain old dirty boring name.
I _really_ like this name (especially with a rolling r in the end) but it always reminds me of a German detergent called "Lenor".
