This is pretty but I think I prefer Leslie.
My name is Lesley. I think from an adult’s perspective there is nothing wrong with the name...albeit perhaps a tad plain... I prefer it pronounced Lesslee rather than Lezlie. But I find different people have different opinions on how they like the name pronounced. I do find people constantly spell it wrong... Leslie... which is perhaps the most common form, but honestly to the point where people reply to my emails at work with the wrong spelling, lol. The unfortunate part of this name is that I got called Lesbo a bunch of times growing up and this has put me off of this name. I have considered changing it numerous times...I cringe when I hear my name... so I don’t have the best experience with it.
My name is Lesley Ann. My mom named me after my Grandfather who heard the name Wesley which she thought was too much of a male name. I never liked my name until I got older and felt that Lezlee sounded much better than Laslee.
To the person who mentioned this could be changed into cruel nicknames... all names can. If someone wants to be cruel (and most of us were at times as children, probably) they will find a way. I love my name. My dad & grandfather's middle names were Leslie.
My name is Lesley Ann and I am now married to a pastor, and my title is Lady Lesley! I absolutely love my name and my title! It definitely has a nice elegant sound and it is very easy to pronounce. I wish my mom was still alive today, since she loved "L' names. Mom named my older sister Lisa and myself Lesley. My name is very classy & unique which fits my uniqueness "right down to the tee."
I am a female and I love my name. It is rather unique by the spelling which is "Lesley". Whenever people misspell my name as Leslie, I immediately correct them. Although I pronounce mine as Lezzlee, I do not mind when its pronounced Lessley. My nickname is Les or Lezz. I was born in the mid-sixties and my mother named me after Lesley Ann Warren (the beautiful Cinderella character).
This is my name and I have never liked it very much, sometimes I think it's ok and sometimes I hate it... I have always disliked how it can't be spoken easily. The 2 "L"s are hard to say together in an elegant way and I'm a very elegant person which bothers me a little bit. I do think the name will come back though pretty soon.
I like this name very much, although I am concerned about any girl named this, because of some harsh nicknames that cruel people may come up with. Such as "Lesley the Lesbian".
My mother's name is Leslie and she was named for her grandfather. I would name a son Lesley because I think that the "ie" at the end sounds more feminine.
I don't mind the name Lesley. I think it's quite nice but it's not my favourite but it is growing on me. (:
This name is pretty cute; it sounds like Lindsey.
