So gorgeous, and I love the nickname Lily!
I think it's so gorgeous. Very feminine, with lovely nick names.
I prefer Lily!
Not sure which one I like better, Liliana or Lilliana.
So so so beautiful! Romantic and feminine.
My name is Liliana (as in “Lil-ee-ahn-ah”) and here is my personal experience with the name: When I was young, other children would often call me “Lily” or “Anna” but rarely Liliana. As I grew older, I began introducing myself as just Lily because my full name was often butchered (“Lillian” or “Lil-ee-ann-ah”). When someone eventually hears my full name I get asked a ton of questions like, “what’s the pronunciation?”, “do you prefer Lily or Liliana?”, or “how do you spell it?”. So, I prefer to avoid those questions. At one point though, I met a “Lillian”, and so, everyone began calling me “Liliana” to avoid confusion (she was nicknamed Lily, as well). Now, as a waitress, I introduce myself as “Liliana” because it’s a memorable name (more so than Lily, due to the fact it’s less common). And because my introduction is so brief, they hear it once and then it’s onto “what-drink-can-I-start-you-off-with-today”. No time for questions. I’ve received many compliments on both the name “Lily” and “Liliana”, but if I’m being honest, more so on “Liliana”. So, in conclusion, the full name really only comes into play when you’re older and “just Lily” doesn’t cut it.
Such a gorgeous and feminine name! I love most Lily variants, but Liliana is definitely my favourite.
Childish, not a fan.
I prefer Lilliana but this is just as pretty!
Beautiful name! Looks good, sweet, feminine and just really charming! I like it a lot! Amazing Liliana! A lot better spelling than other similar names to Liliana. Name with class!
How do I put this nicely...? A bit childish and annoying.
I love the names Aliana (Allie-ana) and Eliana (Ellie-ana). Liliana is cute as well.
So pretty!
Despise!
Pretty, however I like Aliana or Eliana much better! They’re prettier and softer sounding.
Soo pretty!
My name is Liliana and I hate to be called Lillian.
Pretty!
My name is Lily & I love the name Liliana... & I wish this was my full name. It sounds so pretty like a princess.
Beautiful name, although I personally prefer Aliana or Eliana.
Pretty, but seems like an overdone version of Lily.
The name Liliana is a beautiful name. Every comment I have seen loves the name. But I think that it is crazy how people hate the name Nevaeh but love the name Liliana. I'm not complaining but everyone should be appreciated.
I love this name! Sounds elegant and enchanting. And I love the name Lili, my favorite flower!
This name is so beautiful and ethereal! ❤.
I love this name and the nickname Lily.
My cousin just had a daughter named Liliana. It's a beautiful name and it has a very nice ring to any middle name.
Very pretty!
This is gorgeous! Very princessy, and feminine. Can't get any better.
Liliana is the worst name ever! I know a girl called Liliana but I called her Willyana!
It seems to be getting more popular, but I still find it to be a gorgeous name. I love Lily as a nickname too. It’s very feminine, and yes, frilly, but I love that about it.
Lily is the prettiest name to me, and I really like lots of Lily names but haven't ever warmed to Liliana. I think for me it is a little too frilly and doesn't flow as well as Lily, Lilina or Lilia but it's only my personal opinion. I still think it's lovely for a flower name.
My name is Liliana. I never really liked it so I went by Lili of course I didn't want to have a different spelling but I knew people would spell it "Lily" anyways. After reading a few comments I realized that I should like this name, people calling it "Pretty" or "amazing" made me feel so good! Every time I introduce myself people say "Wow, Liliana, that is a beautiful name." I pronounce Lili just like Lily and Liliana as it is Lili-ee-AHN-ah But some people aka substitutes call me Lilian, Lili-Anna, Lele-anna, and a bunch of other things. But most people get my name right.
So much nicer than Lilian. Of course, Liliana is kind of long, but it can easily be shortened to Lily, which is almost as pretty. If I have a daughter someday, I'd definitely consider naming her this. (Of course, I'm still a teenager. Who knows what names I'll like when I'm old enough to have kids).
I really like the name. I have been thinking about naming a daughter LillieAhnna if I have children. I picture a very strong-willed, yet sweet girl.
I love Liliana-well, I'm biased considering this is my name. I think it's beautiful. I'm Polish-Russian on my mother's side and the name is an ode to my grandmother, whom I love dearly. However, I was (kinda) named after Lily Evans from Harry Potter. I like to go by Lily and my dad calls me Tiger Lily. I think Liliana sounds professional, while Lily can be used in childhood. Every name is beautiful-you just need to learn how to use it:) -Liliana.
Liliana is a gorgeous and feminine name. I really love it. It also has some great nn's, Lily and Ana.
I discovered this name last year and I found it to be absolutely lovely. I see this name this year and I still love it as much as I did before, though I pronounce it Lil-ee-AHN-Ah. Lily with Anna doesn't sound as unique.
What a beautiful, almost perfect name. I hesitate to call it "almost perfect," because names I've said that about in the past have faded for me: Anastasia, Aurora, Callista, Constance, Guinevere, Katarina, Lavinia, Linnaea/Linnea, Maialen, Marian, Muriel, Nefertari, and Ursula were all once names I'd declared as my favorite. Now, none are even in my Top 10. So, I hesitate to say the same about Liliana... yet I do. It is that beautiful. I prefer the pronunciation lil-ee-AHN-ah rather than saying it as a combination of "Lily" and "Anna", but it is truly an amazing name.
This is just a lovely name, so classy and it sounds very classic and old, which I love, but I think that I like it more with two L's more.
Beautiful name! I prefer this spelling, though - Lilianna looks too frilly.
I personally know a Liliana. I, myself, absolutely adore the name. I plan naming one of my children it because you can call your child Lily when she's young and for when she becomes of age, you may call her Lilianna. I love the name because it's unique and very strong.
I love the look and sound of this name but it's just not practical in everyday life! I know an Italian woman called this and shouting her or just saying 'good morning Lilianna' takes too long and sounds a bit silly. I think most Lilianna's will end up just being called Lily or Anna which kind of defeats the purpose a bit.
Liliana is an improvement over Lily or Lilian. It's very pretty.
Something about this name wants to make me puke!
Um no, lol, that isn't true! Liliana makes people want to be eternally happy and bring peace to the world.
I think Liliana is overdoing it, and Lily is just fine the way it is. There's a saying: "Gilding the lily".
Liliana's pretty, though Lillian and Lilian are WAY prettier.
Grr ignorant people. Lilian is a form of Liliana, though Liliana is ten times more beautiful, if said right. No Lilly-Ana! Lily-AHN-a.
It's a nice alternative to Lillian.
A very pretty name but I prefer Lily. Also can be spelled Lilianna.
This name is very beautiful and underused in my opinion. A good name to grow up with, it also offers a lot of nicknames, Lily, Anne, Anna, Annie, etc.
I LOVE this! My favourite name right now and I don't think I'll ever get over it. I think it's brilliant, pronounced in either the Portuguese or Polish way.I like Lily as a nickname for this.
There's something very sweet and romantic, about it. A soft name I find, which I like a lot!
This is a really pretty name!
