An older comment mentioned that this name is becoming less popular. I was kind of wondering that it would make a cool character name for a villain, like someone else said. However, this name could also be really cool for a dog, like a German Shepherd? I could just imagine someone saying "Lothar! Come here, boy! There you are! Who's a good puppy?! Who's a good puppy?!" followed by a treat and a good belly rubbing.

This name sounds so cool, like he should be the villain in some science-fiction B-movie or Saturday kids' cartoon! You just know this guy is gonna take over the world ^^ !
