Love the name's spelling, though tbh I prefer pronouncing it as "loo-see-an" instead of "loo-shan".
One of the most intelligent names is Lucian, super amazing!
My neighbors proudly announced this name for their new baby boy. I think it’s absolutely amazing. It sounds high and noble and I can tell it will age well!
Extremely dreamy! Lucian is timeless, cool, handsome and strong, there's something quite musical about it as well. Very lovely.
Handsome name for males that ages well.
My name is Lucian, it's my father's name too, as is an uncle on my father's side, and a cousin's middle name. My great-grandfather was named "Luciano." That said, having known of so many Lucians...I was shocked that on my first day of preschool nobody else had the same name as me. When I was in high school I went to an all boy's school. If you had a common name, like Dan, or John, or Tom, or Alex or whatever, people almost always called you by your last name, unless you had a nickname of some kind. I know a few guys whose girlfriends called them by their last name as everyone else did--it became so commonplace. Some guys I still do that for. This never became an issue for me, I was the only Lucian anybody knew.
I didn't like having an odd name in Kindergarten, but grew to like it later on.
I love the spelling Looshan better, and I named my son this. Looshan is a very handsome name.
Sounds like someone from St. Lucia. A Lucian. I still like the name for some odd reason though.
Very handsome.
I don't know if this is interesting or not, but my friend has Lucian for her middle name and she loves it because she hates her first name somehow. It still sounds okay for girl, doesn't it?
Is it just really odd that my son Lucian is kind of shy and is 11 years old right now? (see comment near the top) Most people do not know how to pronounce it. It was an old family name. We thought we might call him Luke as a nickname, he prefers Lucian. He is extremely intelligent and did not really ever act like a child. We say he was born a little old man. He makes very keen observations about people and things. I find it funny that Lucian or Lucius is usually a name in movies and books for werewolves or bad guys.
Apparently a lot of people like my name. My name IS Lucian. It's somehow rare to have this name and yet people find it cool.
I named my son Lucian. People at first are a little confused on how to pronounce his name. We decided on Loo-Shun. My son is now starting school and he's the only one with this name LOL
Anyway, many people comment on how unique his name is or how pretty it is. A great classic name for the modern age.
It sounds handsome and intelligent.
I really like this name pronounced "LOO-SEE-en" instead. It's a naturally memorable and intriguing name.
I think this name is intelligent-sounding. :) The name 'Lucian' is awesome.
I like this name, but unfortunately it seems to have become a redneck name like Virgil has.
Whenever I hear this name, I think of a very intelligent boy. It's a very lovely name!
I think this is a pretty cool name. I like it better than "Lucius" in any case. I know someone named Lucian, too, and I think he's Italian. His nickname is Luci (LOO-chee).
Very nice. It's one of my favorite names for a boy, though now I prefer Lucius.
My son's middle name. I love it and chose it from a character in Stravaganza. A good young man.
It's my name, and my God is it nice to have a name that no-one else has.
Very cool name. I used the name as a mysterious, desolate forest name.
Very cool name indeed.
Lucian could be portrayed as a shy, lonely boy of 11. Or, that's just what I described the character with this name in my story.
