Can also be pronounced mar-gee with a hard g sound.

So cute. I imagine it on a little old lady or a young girl.

This was one of the nicknames friends used for me back in school. In retrospect, it's not a bad nickname, but I hated it at the time. I think Maggie is a slightly prettier nickname. I don't like the idea of either Maggie or Margie used as given names, though, because they are too informal.
