Cool, cool name.

At least this isn't a feminine title. I don't like it, and if a person with this name ever went to Europe then I am sure his name might come up. Some people name their son Duke or Baron, King, and Saint, so I don't see why this name is so different. I don't like those names.

I actually think this is a nice name. It sounds classy.

This name is actually not the most "ghetto" thing I've ever heard. It actually sounds quite nice--but probably wouldn't look/sound right outside America. For example, if the bearer ever took a trip around Europe, his name might lead to some awkward social encounters--or he could turn it into a great ice breaker!
However, Marquise is a truly awful name. But Marquis... not that bad.

I don't like this name. Since this is a title, it sounds pretentious and may lead to a superiority complex.

I don't care much for this name. It looks like it should be pronounced "mar-kwis".
